These are all surface pictures.  Underwater ones are coming soon, I promise...
(July 10, 2005)  Our first dive ever!  We went to Cinco Ribeiras, on the south side of the island.  Check it on the map.

Tanya and I check our gear in the upper right corner as Rodney hits the water.

I went next.  Curt and Donna were there to witness this and Curt was nice enough to take these pictures.

Tanya the frogwoman went last.

See now this is the part where we check all our gear before actually going under.  Tanya and I are closest to the camera, she has her back turned.

This jack-o-lantern is a scuba diver, as you can tell by his mask and regulator.  The cool part is that I carved it under water, at about 25 feet, using only a dive knife.

This is Angra harbor.  There's a shipwreck here, marked by that yellow buoy.  We dove it but it was before I had my underwater camera.

Here's Rodney prepping his gear for the dive.  Gear preparation is very important in scuba diving because if you don't do it properly you could, like, die and stuff.
